Sister Paula – Willy Atieno Ounga was born on 6 October 1979 in Kisumu, Kenya.
After completing high school, she entered the religious institute of the Franciscan Sisters of St Anne (FSSA) in 1999, where she made her perpetual profession in 2011.
She obtained a diploma in Montessori Early Childhood Education (2005-2006) and subsequently taught in a local kindergarten for 7 years.
After graduating in English from Kenya Methodist University (2013-2014), she taught at St. Angela Merici Academy (Webuye, Kenya).
He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the Pontifical Urbanian University (2015-2018), followed by a licence in Canon Law from the same university (2018-2021).
He is currently pursuing a doctorate programme in Canon Law at the Urbaniana, specialising in the field of serious causes for definitive departure from religious life.
