
Prof. Donald McQuillan
Born in Dundalk, Ireland, he is married with four children.
He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc degrees in Mathematical Science, National University of Ireland, and a PhD in Mathematics, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA.He has been full Professor of Mathematics in University of Wisconsin, Madison, and University College Dublin, where he was also Head of Department and Dean of the Faculty.
He has held visiting positions in University of Cambridge, England, Université de Bordeaux and Université de Caen, France (Professeur Associé).
From 2002 to 2005 he was Chief Executive of the Irish Universities Quality Board, and Assistant Director (Academic) of the Irish Universities Association. He has been a member of the Expert Pool of the European Universities Association Institutional Evaluation Programme, and is advisor to the African Catholic Universities Quality Agency (ACUQA).
