From 22 to 24 April 2025, the external evaluation visit of the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso took place. This is the first evaluation that AVEPRO has carried out in an ecclesiastical academic institution in Latin America.

Meeting with Academic Institutions of Higher Education from Africa
On 12 and 13 November 2024, the ‘Regional Seminar on Quality in Higher Education Institutions’ was held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The conference took place at the Université Catholique du Congo and was attended by more than 20 academic institutions of higher education from all over Africa.
Meeting with Latin American Academic Institutions of Higher Education
On 10 and 11 September 2024, the ‘Regional Seminar on Quality in Higher Education Institutions’ was held in Bogotá, Colombia. The conference was held at the Pontifical Javeriana University and was attended by more than 18 academic institutions of higher education from all over Latin America.
Meeting with North American Church Academic Institutions
On 14 and 15 May 2024, the ‘Regional Seminar on Quality in Higher Education Institutions’ was held in Washington, DC. The conference was held at ‘The Catholic University of America’ and was attended by more than 15 Church academic institutions from the United States and Canada.
The President of AVEPRO, Fr Armand Puig i Tàrrech, received by the Pope
On 4 March, the Holy Father received Father Armand Puig i Tàrrech, President of AVEPRO, in private audience. The topics discussed concerned the Agency’s future activities together with the development of the concept of quality in the light of the Magisterium. The Pope encouraged Father Armand to continue with his objectives.
