Fiona Hunter

Fiona Hunter is Associate Director at the Centre for Higher Education Internationalisation (CHEI) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan where she is responsible for research and professional development projects on a wide range of topics as well as supervising doctoral theses on internationalisation. In 2015, she co-led an international team of over 30 researchers to produce a study for the European Parliament on the Internationalisation of Higher Education.
Fiona is also Co-Editor of the Journal of Studies for International Education (JSIE), and is member of the International Advisory Board at the Universidad de Granada in Spain.
 
She also works a consultant, trainer and researcher with private, public and faith-based institutions around the world. Her work focuses mainly on strategic change and internationalisation, and recent projects have included work with university leadership in Italy, France, Spain, Romania, Albania, Russia, Israel, Ivory Coast, Panama and Cuba. She works in English, Italian, French and Spanish.
 
She is Past President of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), and also served for 6 years as member and chair of a Board of Directors for a non-profit education organisation in the United States. She holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Higher Education Management from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom.
